About m.c.m

This is (hopefully) an improved version of my previous half-baked blog, obruniyina.blogspot.com. I wrote about a dozen of them throughout my first year as a graduate student in Singapore, studying Public Policy. I hope to be a bit more consistent, thoughtful and active with this new commitment. Plus, I think wordpress is a bit easier to manipulate :).

I write a lot of personal stuff, because that was my primary purpose -sharing my life here with the ones in the United States (which was my home for 8 years before I came to Singapore) and other parts of the world. But I do hope to convey more than my personal joy and frustration, perhaps thoughts on things that I’m passionate about, like human rights issues, development, labor and migration, political Islam, but of course not limited to these issues.

Oh, yes, obruni means “White foreigner” in Twi or Fanti languages (I think…), spoken in Ghana.
